Episodes of the film "Zuleikha opens her eyes", based on the novel by Guzel Yakhina, were shown on the eve of the "Aksyonov Fest" in KDK.Lenin. The audience had an opportunity to see the film highlights, and were able to communicate with the production team – director Egor Anashkin, executive producer of the film company "Rysskoe" Ilya Papernov, the author of the novel Guzel Yakhina and actors Evgeny Morozov and Ramil Sabitov.
The book raises the topic of defarming in the 30s of the XX century, when farmworkers were forcibly sent to special settlements in Siberia. The shooting of the film based on the novel by Guzel Yakhina "Zuleikha opens her eyes" was produced in Laishevsky district of Tatarstan, where the atmosphere of the taiga village of Semruk was reproduced. In Kazan, shooting episodes took place on Kremlevskaya street, in the Kazan Kremlin and Karl Marx street. The shooting was conducted by the film company "Rysskoe" by order of the TV channel "Rossiya 1".
Famous Russian artists-Chulpan Khamatova, Sergei Makovetsky, Evgeny Morozov, Elena Shevchenko, Julia Peresild, Roman Madyanov, Ramil Sabitov, Rosa Khairullina, Alexander Bashirov, Alexander Sirin, Dmitry Kulichkov and others filmed there.
The production team told journalists and spectators about the work on the film in Kazan during the "Aksyonov Fest" activities.
