In Kazan number of road accidents because of buses drivers decreased on 25%

(KZN.RU, July 22, Ksenia Shvetsova). In Kazan for the first 6 months of 2019 the number of road accidents which happened because of buses drivers, decreased by 25%. As well as compared with the last year the passengers complain about working of public transport less frequently – the number of appeals decreased by 16%, as Ildar Shakirov, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, informed today at the Business Monday. He noted that they take a range of disciplinary measures including dismissal of drivers and conductors with bending established regulations.

Daily citizens and guests are served more than by thousand of city passenger transports units. For the first six month Kazan vehicles transported 126 million passengers – it is about 700 thousand passengers daily.

By the decision of the Road Traffic Safety Commission in Kazan the additional specific speed limit for city passenger transports units has been in place since March – not higher than 55 kms per hour, as the speaker reminded. The strict enforcement of speed limit is implemented daily in the AMS-T system. «As a result for 4 months the number of excess speed decreased in 5 times, - I.Shakirov said. - The ratings of accident because of the public transport drivers have been decreased. In the first six month as compared with the last year total of road accident decreased by 25%, and the number of casualties in them decreased by 26% ».

Since June 1 the non-cash payment became accessible a contactless bank card in all kinds of city passenger transport, as I. Shakirov reminded. The mobile control-cash apparatuses are installed enabling to accept for payment both transport, and bank cards. For supplying of this service the enterprises additionally took 500 conductors. Today the number of trips paid by bank card exceeded 1 million 150 thousand trips. But there are complaints as well – in total 367 messages on payments under the clearing settlement in the public transport.

“The number of road and transport accidents because of the drivers of buses decreased by 25% – it is a very good result. That is the system work on the road accident reduction, it is important to continue it, - Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Executive Committee, commented. - But simultaneously it is necessary to improve the service quality, we have plenty of complaints. It is necessary to continue working with specialists».

Totally from the beginning of the year about 4 thousand suggestions and complaints of transport service quality received from citizens, as I.Shakirov informed. All proceeded complaints of driver and conductor works are considered by the enterprises themselves, also by the Transport Committee and the Road Traffic Safety Commission, where they take a range of disciplinary measures including dismissal of drivers and conductors. So, on totals of the first six months 290 drivers and conductors were deprived of bonuses, 213 ones were reprimanded, and 9 drivers and 8 conductors were dismissed.
