86 roads were repaired and 37 educational institutions updated in Kazan for the WorldSkills Kazan 2019

To the WorldSkills Kazan 2019, 86 sections of roads, buildings of educational institutions, school territories and a number of facilities have been repaired in Kazan, said Rustem Gafarov, the first deputy head of the Executive Committee, at the Business Monday. </p> <p> </p> <p> The WorldSkills Kazan Championship 2019 has become a new driver for the development of infrastructure for the city. Preparation for major international events allows the city to achieve great results in updating the infrastructure, said R. Gafarov. While preparing for the championship, 37 buildings of educational institutions were repaired and 34 school territories were improved within the framework of the project “One School, One Country”. </p> <p> </p> <p> “Traditionally, much attention is paid to the improvement of the city”, said R. Gafarov. “In total, flower beds were created in Kazan on an area of 22 thousand square meters, 11 voluminous flower arrangements were installed. I believe, they will become favorite objects of Kazan citizens and guests”. The mascots of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 championship Almaz and Altyn are installed on Millennium Square, one of the popular sites for Kazan and tourists, added the speaker. </p> <p> </p> <p> In general, Kazan is ready to receive guests and participants of the championship. According to R. Gafarov, all 228 hotels and hostels with 19 thousand beds have passed the necessary classification to date and are ready to meet the participants and fans of the championship. The participants will live in WorldSkills Village, which is known to Kazan residents as the Universiade Village. </p> <p> </p> <p> Catering establishments are also ready to meet guests of the city. A guidebook has been prepared specially for them, which includes 51 restaurants. All these restaurants have been specially accredited. </p>
