A gala concert ended the festival “Let's join hands, friends!” in Kazan

<p> A gala concert of the XII Republican festival of artistic creativity among people with disabilities “Let's join hands, friends!” was held today at the renovated cultural center “Saidash” (Ershov str., 57a). This year the festival brought together more than a thousand gifted children from 20 special remedial schools, orphanages and boarding schools not only from Tatarstan, but also from Moscow and Samara region. </p> <p> For 12 years, the festival has given the opportunity to thousands of children with disabilities to show their talents on the big stage. This year, according to the results of the qualifying rounds, 230 participants reached the final. </p> <p> The head of administration of Sovetsky district of Kazan Roman Fatkhutdinov congratulated the guys on reaching the final. He recalled that the festival originated in the Sovetsky district, then its participants were pupils of Derbyshkinsky orphanage and boarding school № 6. Every year the festival attracted more and more participants, and in 2013 it received the status of the Republican. “I am pleased that today the gala concert is taking place in the Sovetsky district, in the renovated, bright hall of the cultural center “Saidash”. We appreciate everyone who stood at the origins of the festival and continues to bring children into the world of creativity”, - said Roman Fatkhutdinov. </p> <p> The festival gave children an opportunity not only to perform on stage, but also to fulfill their dreams. So, 19-year-old Nikita Frolov since childhood is confined to a wheelchair-the young man has cerebral palsy. Until 13 years Nikita could not to speak, classes of music helped to restore his speech. Now he sings in the band “Shalunishki” of Derbinsky orphanage for mentally retarded children. The young artist loves classical music- he knows by heart the works of Johann Bach, Antonio Vivaldi, Frederick Chopin. Nikita wanted to visit a big concert hall named after Saidashev and his dream came true. “The festival gave me the opportunity to listen to a concert of symphonic music by the La Primavera orchestra, I even talked with the artistic director and band-master Rustem Abyazov. Now I have a new dream - I want to become a piano player, they say my fingers are good”, - Nikita said. </p> <p> Traditionally, young artists are supported by well-known musicians during the festival, this year the headliners of the gala concert became the winner of the project “The Voice. Kids” Danil Pluzhnikov and Tatar singer of Leyna. </p>
