Forty-six hotels are being prepared to accommodate the participants of the BRICS summit in Kazan

Next year, a restaurant of Tatar national cuisine to open in the city center

Preparations for the BRICS summit, which will be held in the capital of Tatarstan in October 2024, have begun at the main Kazan hotels. Participants of the forum will be accommodated at 46 hotels and the Universiade Village.

According to the requirements, presidential rooms with an area of at least 150 sq.m and suites with an area of at least 45 sq.m are required to accommodate the delegations of the BRICS countries, and presidential rooms with an area of at least 100 sq.m and suites with an area of at least 45 sq.m are required.

The reconstruction has begun at three hotels. The deadline for completing all works is April 30, Director of the Committee for Tourism Development Daria Sannikova said at a meeting of the headquarters for the preparation for the BRICS summit.

“To date, 51 accommodation facilities are ready to accommodate BRICS participants, including 46 hotels of category 5, 4, 3 and 2 stars, as well as the Universiade Village, apartment buildings in the M14 microdistrict and others,”- the speaker said.

As of today, nineteen presidential rooms and fifty-five suites need to be additionally formed in Kazan. Currently, the capital of Tatarstan has 10 presidential rooms and 140 suites.

Next year, a restaurant of Tatar national cuisine will open in the city center.

“Much attention is paid to the popularization of the Tatar national cuisine. We are very pleased that the business is interested in this, as well as tourists. Next year, it is planned to open restaurants with Tatar cuisine in the city center,”- Daria Sannikova shared.
