By ignoring this rule, drivers put other road users at risk and polluted the city's streets
Forty-six cameras equipped with artificial intelligence were installed on the roads in Kazan. They are monitoring dump trucks that transport bulk cargo, such as sand, crushed stone, and other small-fraction items, around the clock. If these trucks do not have a special cover, they are in violation of the Rules for Landscaping in Kazan. By failing to comply with this requirement, drivers put other road users in danger and pollute the city's streets.
The system for identifying violators was developed and implemented by the Kazan Executive Committee at the end of 2023. During this time, the staff of the Department for the Organization of Activities of Administrative Commissions reviewed 32 violation cases.
Recently, the number of cameras has increased to 46. According to the department, since the beginning of the construction season, there have been more cases of improper transportation of bulk cargo. At the same time, disregard for the requirement affects road safety - it interferes with other drivers while driving behind a truck. Besides, bulk cargo and garbage pollutes the streets of the city.
According to the Rules of Landscaping, it is not allowed to transport soil, loose building materials, garbage, light containers, and sawn trees without covering them with a tarpaulin or other material to prevent road pollution. It is also prohibited to transport building mixes and mortars without taking measures to prevent spillage on the road, sidewalk, curb, or lawn strip adjacent to the roadway.
Ignoring this rule under article 3.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tatarstan can result in a warning or a fine for citizens ranging from 2,000 to 3,500 rubles, for officials - from 15,000 to 30,000 rubles, and for legal entities - from 200,000 to 500,000 rubles.
The Department for Organization of Activities of Administrative Commissions emphasized that unscrupulous drivers will continue to be identified throughout the year.
