Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia Federation, arrived in Kazan

The head of state will observe the flight of the modernized Tu-160M airplane and hold a teleconference with the students of the country.

(KZN.RU, January 25). Vladimir Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, arrived in Tatarstan on a working visit. Mikhail Babich, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the RF in the Privolzhsky Federal District, and Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the RT, met him at the Kazan International Airport.

The first event in the working schedule of Vladimir Putin in Kazan was a meeting with the muftis of the centralized religious organizations of Muslims of Russia and the leaders of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy. The formation of an integral system of religious education and the development of the national theological school were discussed during the conversation, as well as the first results of the work of the Academy.

“Without any doubt, traditional Islam is an important part of the Russian cultural code. And the Muslim ummah is an important part of the Russian multinational people. With the establishment of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy, we have created the whole triad - and madrassas, and universities, and the academy. I want to thank everyone who worked on this project. This project would not take place without your active position and without sponsors, who are also well known. A beautiful project, important, and highly necessary for our country”, said the head of state.

The Bulgarian Islamic Academy opened on September 4, 2017, in Bolgar. Students are trained here free of charge for the specialties “Islamic Law” and “Islamic Thought and Faith”. Speaking about the results of the Academy's work, Vladimir Putin noted that “the years go by and the age of acting muftis makes us think about the need to prepare a replacement but to make our own national base, laid on our traditional Islam”.

Today, the President of the Russian Federation will also visit the Kazan Gorbunov Aircraft Plant where he will observe the demonstration flight of the modernized Tu-160M aircraft and talk with the employees of the enterprise. Then Vladimir Putin will take part in the All-Russian Forum of Student Clubs “Vmeste Vpered!” in the ice palace of sports “Tatneft-Arena”. More than 5 thousand students fr om 38 subjects of the Russian Federation will become participants of the forum, dedicated to the Day of Russian Students. After that, the President of the RF will visit the Institute of Fundamental Medicine and Biology of the Kazan Federal University wh ere he will inspect the centers of innovative medical education and hold a teleconference with the leading higher educational institutions of the country. In addition, a working meeting of Vladimir Putin with Rustam Minnikhanov is planned, reports the press service of the President of the RT.
