Measures of social support for veterans of the Great Patriotic War have been discussed at the Kazan Executive Committee

<p> (KZN.RU, April 29, Alina Berezhnaya). 11080 veterans, invalids of the Great Patriotic War, persons equated to them and family members live in Kazan. The provision of medical care and the improvement of living conditions remain the priority tasks in ensuring their comfortable life. The heads of the Kazan district administrations told about the measures of social support for veterans today at the Business Monday. </p> <p> Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts, said that veterans regularly undergo comprehensive medical examinations. 948 people were examined at home due to their health conditions, and home care were organized for 62 patients. Since 2010, 275 people have been provided with housing in two districts. In addition, this year a comprehensive overhaul is planned in 43 apartment buildings with 127 veterans, as well as repairs to 3 apartments of lonely living veterans, said Timur Alibaev. He also said that by the holidays, 133 war participants would receive a cash benefit in the amount of 10 thousand rubles, which had been paid annually to war participants and disabled since 2009 by decree of the President of Russia. </p> <p> In the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts, 90.3% of veterans are covered by medical examinations. “There is a hospital for war veterans and a specialized polyclinic on the territory of the Moskovsky district, where all conditions are created for the full specialized treatment of veterans. Participants of the Great Patriotic War who are subject to outpatient and inpatient treatment receive it in full amount”, said Sergey Mironov, the head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts’ administrations. </p> <p> The clinical examination of participants of the Great Patriotic War and front workers in the Vakhitovsky and Privolzhsky districts is completed. 18 rooms of superior comfort were equipped for stationary support, reported Airat Akhmadullin, the first deputy head of the district administration. He noted that in 2018, repairs were made in 20 apartments, and 14 more apartments are scheduled to be renovated for 2019. According to the federal program for the provision of cash subsidies and certificates for the purchase of housing, 9 veterans improved their living conditions in 2019. It is planned that 2 more veterans will receive housing before the end of this year. </p> <p> From the beginning of the year, 10 apartments of veterans in the Sovetsky district of Kazan were repaired, said Roman Fatkhutdinov, the head of the district’s administration. According to him, not a single veteran will be left without attention on the eve of Victory Day. Thus, holiday concerts with the presentation of gifts will be held at large enterprises of the district. Also, veterans can use the services of hairdressers for free, shoe repair, visit the baths and charity dinners in restaurants and cafes of the districts. </p> <p> Azat Abzalov, the head of the Kazan Department of Culture, told that today 14 Kazan veterans have received subsidies for the purchase of housing. Also during the year, the necessary maintenance was carried out in two apartments of lonely living participants of the Great Patriotic War, and repairs in another fifteen would be completed before the end of the year. </p> <p> On Victory Day, more than 120 festive events will take place in Kazan, which will cover almost all public spaces of the city. Residents and guests of the capital of the RT are invited to performances, concerts, exhibitions, a festive parade and colorful fireworks at the “Kazan Arena”. </p>
