Vladislav Otroshenko became a new guest of the art-residence “Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda”

The meeting with the author of "Gogoliana" will be held in the Aksenov House.

(KZN.RU, November 8). The meeting with Vladislav Otroshenko, a writer and researcher of creative work of Nikolai Gogol, Leo Tolstoy, Alexander Pushkin, prize winner of the Government of Russian Federation in area of culture will take place in the Kazan Aksenov House. 

The famous writer will perform at the literary cafe "Kalitka", visit one of the Kazan schools, and give a lecture for teachers and high school students in the Tolstoy Readings. 

Vladislav Otroshenko is the author of 10 books of prose and essay. He was also awarded the Italian Literary Prize Grinzane Cavour, the National Russian Prizes the “Yasnaya Polyana” named after L. Tolstoy and the I. Belkin’s for the best story in Russian. He is the winner of the Fifth Berlin International Competition “The Best Book of the Year 2014”. 

In 2014 the book of Otroshenko “Gogoliana and other stories” won first place and received a gold medal on the Fifth Berlin International Competition “The Best Book of the Year 2014”. For the same book Otroshenko received Russian Federation Government prize in the area of culture. 

On writer's scenario the documentary film “Fedor Tyutchev's angels” of producer Alexander Stolyarov was removed, and in 2010 Otroshenko acted the co-author of documentary film “Yasnaya Polyana, The Russian, and Tolstoy” of German film directors of Andres Kristof Schmidt and Christina Bauermajster. 

On November 12, a public lecture of Vladislav Otroshenko for the teachers of Russian language and literature, school librarians, and high school students will be held in the Kazan CLC Lenin at 13.00, the organisers inform. 

We will remind, the “Tolstoy Readings”, organised in the art-residence “Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda”, was opened by Irwin Weil, the famous American Slavicist, professor of Northwestern University (Evanston, state Illinois) Irwin Weil. The art-residence works from 2017 on the initiative of Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city, and Ildar Abuzyarov, the project supervisor, writer, and Pushkin Prize winner.
