The traffic will be limited in the days of the Red Bull Air Race in Kazan
A section of the Kazanka River will be closed for small boats.
(KZN.RU, August 24). On August 25 and 26, Kazan citizens could watch the performances of eminent pilots, participants of the World Championship Red Bull Air Race. The competitions will be held over the water area of the Kazanka River between the Millennium bridge and the Kremlin dam. Therefore temporary restrictions on the movement of cars and small boats are introduced in this area.
Thus, from 12 am on August 24 to 11.55 pm on August 26, the traffic will be limited:
on both sides of S. Khakim Street, from the intersection with Dekabristov Street to the intersection with Absalyamov Street (except vehicles equipped with special passes in the form determined by the ANO “Directorate of Sports and Social Projects”);
in both directions of Bondarenko Street.
From 10 am to 7 pm on August 25 and from 10 am to 6 pm on 26 August, the traffic will be restricted in the following sections of the road:
Dekabristov Street, on the section from the right exit from Baturin Street to the Kremlin Bridge to the right exit in the direction of S. Khakim Street.
F. Amirkhan Prospect, on the section from the right exit to the underground part of the overpass to the right exit from the Millennium Bridge in the direction of Podluzhnaya Street.

The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the RT prohibits the use of small boats, sailing, sports vessels, including jet skis, kayaks, rowing boats, on the section of the Kazanka River from the Kirovskaya dam to the intersection of streets Chuikov and Gavrilov:
from 9 am to 8 pm on August 24;
from 10 am to 7 pm on August 25;
from 10 am to 6.30 pm on August 26.
Meanwhile, the restriction does not apply to ships involved in the preparation and conduction of air races.
Kazan will host the fifth of eight stages of the Red Bull Air Race season. 14 pilots of the Master class and 6 pilots of the Challenger class will take part in the race. The main site for viewing will be the Family Center “Kazan”.
