In the days of matches, this number reached 91.5%, and on July 6 – 99%. Sergey Ivanov, the chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the RT, told at the press conference in the city's press center that all 196 hotels were involved.
The fans stayed not only in Kazan but also in the suburbs, neighboring cities. They lived in Zelenodolsk, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yoshkar-Ola, Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, and Kamsk Ustie. Both hotels and apartments were in demand for these days. “Many Kazan residents were involved in the process of servicing guests and tourists”, said S. Ivanov.
In addition, some guests lived in trailers in the territory of the Kazan Fair. For the period of the World Cup, 16 trailers were located on the site. They were residents of Germany, Switzerland, Colombia, and Russia.

As a result of the championship, more than 35 thousand people visited tourist information centers. 365 thousand copies of the guide were issued for tourists in six languages.
The most popular tours were in Kazan, Sviyazhsk, and Bolgar. Thus, the Kazan Kremlin was visited by 297 thousand people, which is 30% more than last year. The number of visitors at the Chuck-Chuck Museum increased by 20%. 7 thousand people visited the Temple of All Religions. S. Ivanov said that the tourists found interesting places for themselves, for example, the Golubye Lakes, the beaches in Borovoe Matyushino and Laishevo, the water park.
