(KZN.RU, June 3, Ksenia Shvetsova). On June 4, Muslims will celebrate Eid al-Fitr. Festive events on this day will begin at 6.30 am with sermons in city mosques. Public transport routes passing through mosques will begin work at 5 am. Ilnur Shakirov, the head of the Department for the Development of Languages and Interaction with Public Organizations, said this at the Business Monday today.

Today is the last day of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims, during which believers observe fasting uraza. At the end of the month, believers will celebrate one of the most important and favorite holidays in Islam, Eid al-Fitr. In accordance with the decree of the President of the RT, June 4 is a non-working holiday in the republic, said I. Shakirov.

“The Muslim Religious Board of the RT has determined that the festivities in the mosques of the city will begin at 6.30 am with sermons”, said I.Shakirov. “Law enforcement agencies will take all necessary measures to ensure public order and the safety of believers in the celebration sites”.

The main site of the festival in Kazan will be the Galeevskaya Mosque. At 6.30 am, a festive sermon will start with the participation of Kamil hazrat Samigullin, the mufti of Tatarstan. Also, the family holiday “Ramazan Fest” will be held on the day of Eid al-Fitr in the Gorky park in Kazan.
