The restriction of traffic will be introduced from 2 pm to 9 pm.
(KZN.RU, June 29). The traffic restrictions and changes to the routes are introduced in Kazan during matches of the FIFA World Cup-2018. This is stated in the resolution of the City Executive Committee №1425 of April 18, 2018.
June 30, the game between the teams of Argentina and France will begin at the stadium “Kazan Arena” at 5 pm. The restriction of traffic will be introduced from 2 pm to 9 pm.
The traffic will be limited in the following sections of the city road network:
S. Khakim Street, on the section from Prospect Amirkhan to Chistopolskaya Street;
Chistopolskaya Street, on the section from Bichurin Street to Yamashev Prospect;
Chistopolskaya Street, on the section from Yamashev Prospect to Adoratsky Street;
Yamashev Prospect, on the section from Adoratsky Street to Sibirsky Tract;
A relief road of Gavrilov Street, on the section from Chuikov Street to Chistopolskaya Street;
Arbuzov Street, on the section from Zhurnalistov Street to Yamashev Prospect.
Restrictions will not apply to vehicles equipped with special passes by the ANO “Organizing Committee “Russia-2018” and the Kazan Executive Committee, vehicles carrying passengers and luggage on the routes of sports competitions approved by the order of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the RT, transport means of emergency and operational services, as well as bicycles.
From May 25 to July 25, during the preparation and holding of the FIFA fan festival, traffic restrictions will operate on S. Khakim Street on the section from Dekabristov Street to Absalyamov Street.
In addition, changes will be made to the schemes of organization of traffic of vehicles from 9 am to 5 pm on June 16; from 5 pm on June 20 until 1 am on June 21; from 5 pm on June 24 to 1 am on June 25; from 1 pm to 9 pm on June 27; from 1 pm to 9 pm on June 30; from 5 pm on July 6 until 1 am on July 7.
From June 10 to July 7, there will be a two-way traffic on the ring road around the stadium “Kazan Arena” from Chistopolskaya Street to the checkpoint №1 of the stadium.
Citizens are advised to abandon the use of personal transport in favor of the public in the days of matches. After the end of the match, about 400 buses, 20 three-section trams, and 29 trolleybuses, including 100 additional buses along Yamashev Prospect and 10 trolleybuses along Adoratsky Street, will be used for the export of spectators. The work of these routes will be extended for 3 hours after the end of the matches. It is better to arrive in advance at the stadium, as viewers will need to undergo inspection at checkpoints. The entrance will open 3 hours before the match, at 2 pm. It is important to carefully study the rules of conduct in the stadium and the list of prohibited items before going to the stadium.
