Ilsur Metshin visited the Mosque “Yardem” in the Decade of Good

<p> (KZN.RU, May 18, Alsu Safina). Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, visited the Mosque “Yardem” in the Decade of Good. He met with blind and visually impaired people who are being rehabilitated in the treatment and educational center of the Islamic charitable foundation of the same name. </p> <p> </p> <p> This year, the holding of the Decade of Good coincided with the month of Ramadan. The Mayor of Kazan congratulated the believers on the approach of the Muslim holy month and presented a double bicycle to the therapeutic and educational rehabilitation center. Sultan Umalatov fr om Astrakhan was the first to test it with his escort. Sultan is currently involved in the Center for the Study of the Holy Quran at the Mosque “Yardem” and memorizing it on the Braille system. He had already visited Kazan several times to rehabilitate courses at the NIMB “Yardem”. </p> <p> </p> <p> The medical and educational rehabilitation center at the Mosque “Yardem”, created by the efforts of philanthropists, is a unique complex built for the rehabilitation of the blind and visually impaired. There are a hostel, a dining room, therapeutic and massage rooms, computer and training rooms, a library, a mini printing house. All the conditions for living of visually impaired (point-relief and color designations, sound elevator, handrails) are provided in the premises. A special program has been prepared, including lessons on studying reading techniques in the Louis Braille program, studying the basics of Islamic culture, fiqh, sira, tajvid, massage, outdoor walking, medical lectures, applied arts, and much more. This time more than 40 people came to Kazan for courses fr om different regions of the republic, as well as from Orenburg, Samara, Chuvashia, Bashkortostan, and other regions of Russia. </p> <p> </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin was also shown a sports ground, wh ere construction works are currently underway. After the reconstruction, it will be multi-functional. Students will be able to play futsal, volleyball, badminton, tennis, and basketball. In winter, the ice rink will be there. Rustam Ramazanov, the general director of the company “Dorstroy komplektatsiya”, said that a new platform was made, the artificial lawn will be replaced by a rubber coating. It will be marked with a bright yellow color for visually impaired people. The same markup will be on two entrance groups and along the perimeter of the entire sports ground. The installation of the rostrum for 50 spectators is planned. The site will be ready for operation soon. Ilsur Metshin expressed gratitude for this charitable project. </p> <p> </p> <p> The head of the city told guests from other regions about the traditional decade of good that takes place from 14 to 24 of May in Kazan. In particular, he told about school charity fairs wh ere children's crafts are sold. All funds collected from their sale are sent to charity. “It is important that children are accustomed to the fact that there is an opportunity to help other people”, said Ilsur Metshin. “If we teach this in the school, there will be a different city around us, different world”. </p>
