1800 new places on paid municipal parking lots will appear in Kazan in 2018

It is planned to allocate 36 million rubles from the city budget for these purposes.

(KZN.RU, April 17, Ksenia Shvetsova). This year 1800 new places will be created on paid municipal parking In Kazan at the expense of the city budget. Ildar Shakirov, the deputy head of the Executive Committee, responsible for transport, economic development and trade issues, announced this at a meeting of the XXV session of the Kazan City Duma.

I. Shakirov said that last year, a number of municipal paid parking lots was excluded after approval from the traffic police, according to the results of the research of the street-road network, taking into account the demand for sites and ensuring road safety. These measures made it possible to create traffic-friendly conditions and more convenient conditions for citizens to travel. However, for this reason, it was impossible to reach the planned number of parking spaces in 2017 (2200 lots). This year, it is planned to allocate additional 36 million rubles for these purposes, as a result of which 1800 new car places will be created in the city.

The creation of comfortable municipal parking is included in the strategy of improving the street-road network. According to I. Shakirov, this played a significant role in optimizing the route network in 2017. According to experts, the route network of Kazan today complies with federal standards and is defined as one of the safest and most convenient for the citizens.
