This year, Alexey Chetverkin, a teacher of history and social studies at school №119 of the Aviastroitelny district, won the city stage of the competition.
Today, the results of the city competition “Teacher of the Year – 2021” were summed up at the Kazan City Hall. According to the results of the competition, the winner was Alexey Chetverkin, a teacher of history and social studies at school №119 of the Aviastroitelny district – he will represent Kazan at the republican stage of the competition. Rustem Gafarov, head of the Executive Committee of the city, awarded the best teachers at the solemn ceremony.
“The epidemiological situation affected the format of our annual meeting, but, fortunately, we were still able to gather to award the winners of 2021 in a cozy atmosphere,”- Rustem Gafarov greeted the guests.
Every year the competition becomes more and more popular among teachers – this year more than 500 people have applied, 69 of them qualified for the city stage. The average age of the contestants was 33 years, the youngest participant-21 years.
Irek Rizvanov, head of the Kazan Department of Education, outlined that “Teacher of the Year” is a landmark event for all teachers of the city. “This is a major professional competition for teachers. No doubt, this is a team competition, and each participant has their own experienced mentors,”- said Irek Rizvanov.
This year, the competition was held in seven categories, and teachers performed their skills in three rounds. Representatives of universities and winners of various professional competitions for teachers evaluated the participants.
The winner in the category “Teacher of a basic subject” Alexey Chetverkin will compete at the republican stage of the competition. “For me, winning the competition is, first of all, professional growth, an opportunity to perform my skills and abilities. Moreover, I have an important mission -to represent Kazan for the whole republic on the high level, I believe I can do it,”- he said. The teacher was greatly supported by the teachers of his school and close people.
Among the teachers of preschools, the winner was Alsu Bikchantayeva from kindergarten №380 of the Novo-Savinovsky district. In the category “Giving a heart to children” among teachers of supplementary education, the Diana Valishina took first place from the Children's Creativity Center “Children's Academy” of the Sovetsky district. The best in the category “Teacher-psychologist” was the employee of the kindergarten №130 of the Privolzhsky district Dinara Savelieva.
Vitaly Lebedev, teacher of history and social studies of school №18 of the Vakhitovsky district, was the best in the category “Pedagogical Debut”. Among the teachers of the Tatar language and literature, Guliya Misalova from gymnasium № 33 of the Aviastroitelny district became the winner. The Сlass teachers were also awarded in the “Educate a personality” category. The winner was Aliya Khisambeyeva from the Polytechnic lyceum № 182 of the Kirovsky district.
