R. Minnikhanov addressed Tatarstan residents on the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation

The Republic “strictly follows the spirit and letter of the main legal document of our country in the development of its legal system,” said the President of the RT.

(KZN.RU, December 12). Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, addressed the residents of the republic on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

“I heartily congratulate you on the state holiday of Russia – Constitution Day!

It’s been a quarter of a century now past the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation at a national referendum. All this time, the fundamental law of our country protects the interests of its citizens.

The Russian Constitution has absorbed the best from the world experience of constitutional construction, played a special role in the normalization of rather vigorous social processes of the end of the last century. Thanks to its thoughtfulness and integrity, it is one of the most stable legal acts.

Those provisions of the basic law of the Russian Federation that lay the foundations of federalism, determine the status and powers of the subjects of the federation are especially important for the regions of Russia.

Tatarstan strictly follows the spirit and letter of the main legal document of our country in the development of its legal system.

Relying on the rights granted by the law, we have achieved great success in economic and cultural development, improvement of social policy, and strengthening of interethnic and interfaith harmony.

As one of the leading regions, the Republic of Tatarstan has a high level of social and political stability and the development of civil society. Residents of the republic are known for diligence, openness, hospitality, respect for historical and cultural traditions, and their desire to help all those who are in a difficult life situation.
