Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin visited the spiritual and educational center of preschool education of the St. Guria’s Orthodox gymnasium on Richard Sorge str. 25.
Metropolitan Kirill (Nakonechny), First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Andrey Pominov and others took part in the visit.
The new three-storey preschool is a department of the gymnasium and belongs to the Kazan Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The preschool is designed for 120 pupils. In addition to classrooms, the facility is equipped with a swimming pool, a salt cave, a sports hall and other rooms.
The president of the republic and the Mayor of Kazan inspected the gymnasium building, the pre-school class and the nursery group, the gym and other premises. The director of the institution, Archpriest Alexey Chubakov, gave explanations to the visitors.
R.Minnikhanov also got acquainted with the plans for the development of the preschool, inspected the quality of construction and finishing works, as well as the equipment of classes. He talked to the children who attended the classes.
Educational activities are carried out under the Ushinsky’s Russian Classical School program, the Tatarstan President’s Press Office reports.
