The project “Two Geniuses of Dance” by artist Alexander Chalovsky will be presented in the gallery “Khazine”

The exhibition is dedicated to ballet dancers Rudolf Nuriev and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

(KZN.RU, April 24). On April 27, the exhibition project “Two Geniuses of Dance” by the Moscow artist Alexander Chalovsky will open at the National Art Gallery “Khazine” on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Rudolf Nuriev in Kazan. The event is dedicated to the work of two ballet dancers Rudolf Nuriev and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

Also, visitors to the exhibition will see the film of the famous French animator Pira-Emmanuel Chatillier, recreating the event of a symbolic “leap to the West” that turned the creative life of Rudolf Nuriev.

Rudolf Nuriev as a symbol of immortal art inspired the artist to capture his image in dance, where the spiritual and physical are inextricably linked. Alexander Chalovsky transfers to the canvas “sacred ecstasy”, which became canonical gestures of the genius. In addition, the artist was attracted by another personality of the twentieth century, Mikhail Baryshnikov. The exhibition will feature a series of works, recreating the images of a dramatic ballet dancer.

In his project, Alexander Chalovsky tried not just to recreate the images of Rudolf Nuriev and Mikhail Baryshnikov with dignity and convincing, but also to convey to spectators the attractive power of two geniuses of dance.

The exhibition will open at 4 pm and will last until June 3, according to the website of the gallery “Khazine”. Detailed information about the project can be found by the phone: (843) 567-80-43.

Alexander Chalovsky is a contemporary Moscow artist, a graduate of the Moscow State Art and Industrial Academy named after S. Stroganov, a member of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia.

The exhibition project was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the RT, the State Museum of Fine Arts of the RT with the participation of the Fund “Development of Folk Art “GRANI” (Moscow) and the Art Gallery ASTI (Moscow).
