The quarantine period for citizens of Kazan, who travelled abroad before the introduction of self-isolation in Russia, is coming to an end. In total, 7526 tourists were under the supervision of the police and Kazan doctors. This was reported by Rustam Gafarov, deputy head of the Executive Committee of Kazan, at the city headquarters for combating the spread of coronavirus infection. The head of the Executive Committee Denis Kalinkin held a meeting of the headquarters via videoconference.
Rustam Gafarov said that the Livadia sanatorium is currently preparing to accommodate tourists who will return from Thailand. 115 residents of Tatarstan will be under the control of doctors.
Besides, people arriving from Moscow and Saint Petersburg are required to comply with the quarantine regime. “We are currently preparing lists of people who have recently arrived in Kazan from Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and family members who live with them. All of them, according to the government's order, must observe a 14-day quarantine at their place of residence. In case of violation, they can be fined between 15 thousand to 40 thousand rubles”, - said Alexander Mishchikhin, head of the Kazan department of Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He also said that the city continues to work to identify cases of violations of the self-isolation regime. Police officers not only draw up reports on citizens who do not comply with the regime, but also identify illegally operating enterprises.
The head of local department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs drew attention to the fact that Kazan churches will be closed on Easter. In addition, Iskander Giniyatullin, deputy head of the Executive Committee, noted that cleaning of burial sites in cemeteries will have to be postponed to a later period.
