The images will be displayed on three media facades from February 27 to March 5
On March 2, Mentor's Day will be celebrated in Russia for the first time. On this occasion, photos of the 10 best mentors of the Kazan Mayor’s Office were placed on five media facades of the city.
The mentors’ community of the Kazan Mayor’s Office has been helping new employees to adapt to work and become part of the team for many years. Mentors help newcomers, share their experience and knowledge, provide support, motivate and assist in achieving professional goals. As many as 93 employees of the Kazan Mayor’s Office take the duties of a mentor on a pro bono basis.
The city's media facades featured photos of 10 of the best mentors in 5 areas: a mentor in service, a mentor in production, a mentor in urban management, a mentor in education, and a mentor in the social sphere. Among them are Marsel Gayazov, a worker at Municipal Unitary Enterprise Gorvodzelenkhoz, Mikhail Panin, a machinist at Municipal Unitary Enterprise City Improvement, Larisa Vyurova, chief specialist at the Sovetsky District Administration, and others.
One of the mentors, Rafis Salikhzyanov, has been working as the head of the canteen at school № 36 for four years. He has accumulated more than 20 years of experience in cooking. In his current position, Rafis Salikhzyanov trains not only his staff, but also college students. «I suppose the essence of mentoring in making students ‘eyes light up' and enjoy their work», – he said.
Albina Nafigova, head of the Krylia inclusive center, practices an integrated approach to mentoring. Part of her work is aimed at the professional integration of young people with mental disorders: as a job tutor, she accompanies her students in the process of employment and adaptation.
Photos of the mentors will be displayed on media facades until March 5 at the following addresses: 2 Dekabristov St., 58 Ibragimova Avenue, 159 Pobedy Avenue and 230 Pobedy Avenue.
