A show of wedding dresses, a picnic in the park and honoring the anniversaries of married life: Kazan will celebrate the Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness

127 couples will register a marriage in honor of the holiday

Several events dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness will take place in the capital of Tatarstan. Among them are the presentation of medals “For Love and Faithfulness”, a wedding ceremony in Russian and Tatar traditions, a show of national wedding dresses, an 11–hour festival “Big Family Picnic” and others.

On July 6, lectures on secondary consumption will take place, as well as a fair of goods by young entrepreneurs and meetings with a psychologist under the “Let's Listen” project. Play areas with animators will be organized for children, and for young families there will be a cycling quest “Course to Kazan”, whose participants will visit famous places of the city.

Master classes will take place the same day from 12:00 to 18:00. Classes on customizing clothes, painting badges and weaving beaded bracelets will be conducted by MBU Podrostok. And the Kazan Gaidar Youth Center organizes workshops on painting wooden products with acrylic paints and weaving jewelry from beads. Also, everyone will be able to make candles from wax and squishes (toys that slowly return to their original shape after compression), decorate shoppers and key rings.

During the day, a food court and partner sites from medical volunteers and activists of the “Movement of the First” will work in the public space. Performances by DJs, cover bands and children's creative teams will create a festive mood. The evening will end with a screening of the film “Take it and remember” by Kazan director Baibulat Batullin.

The Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness will be celebrated on July 6 at Tugan Avylym complex. The guests will enjoy a wedding ceremony of two couples in Russian and Tatar traditions, a show of national wedding dresses, as well as the presentation of medals “For love and faithfulness”.

In honor of the Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness, 127 couples will register a marriage in the capital of the republic of Tatarstan. The wedding ceremonies will take place at the Kazan Family Center on July 6, 7 and 8.

The Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness is celebrated in Russia on July 8. The holiday is timed to coincide with the Orthodox Memorial Day of Saints Prince Peter and his wife Fevronia.
