The police department №1 “Aviastroitelny” was opened after a major overhaul

(KZN.RU, January 24, Ekaterina Vislavskaya). Today, the building of police department №1 “Aviastroitelny” at Chelyuskin Street, №56 opened after an overhaul. Artem Khokhorin, the minister of Internal Affairs of the RT, and Denis Kalinkin, the head of the Kazan Executive Committee, took part in the ceremony.

The police department №1 “Aviastroitelny” provides security for residents of the entire Aviastroitelny district of Kazan, including the villages of Borisoglebskoe, Kadyshevo, and Shcherbakovka. In total, there are about 115 thousand people. The building was built in 1949, was used for more than 60 years, and needed major repairs. The premises of the duty unit, the interrogation room, special premises for detainees, a meeting hall, offices of district police commissioners and criminal investigation officers (about 1.3 thousand sq. m.) were renovated at the expense of municipal funds. Modern office equipment is installed in the offices, a whole complex of repair works is carried out. The employees have already started working in the renovated premises.

“It is not the first facility we open in Kazan in recent years. It is symbolic that the police department “Aviastroitelny” was completely renovated by the Kazan City Hall”, noted Artem Khokhorin at the opening ceremony. “All this is done for the benefit of both the city garrison and local residents. The conditions created here are an extra incentive for you to work even more effectively. I very much hope that the work and attitude to work in the police department “Aviastroitelny” will sparkle with new colors”.

At the end of the speech, the minister handed Iskander Shikhbabaev, the chief of the police department №1 “Aviastroitelny”, the keys to the new official vehicle “UAZ-Patriot”. Employees will use the car in their current work.

“We continue to improve the working conditions of the city police and hope that the repaired police department will allow fulfilling your duties more effectively”, said Denis Kalinkin. “Of course, I want to say huge words of gratitude to the contractors for their support, for creating such conditions”.

Timur Alibaev, the head of the Aviastroitelny and Novo-Savinovsky districts’ administration, Alexey Sokolov, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Kazan, and other officials also took part in the event. They inspected the premises and congratulated the police department on the moving.

Over the past 3 years, the buildings of 2 police departments were built in Kazan, 4 police departments have been overhauled, and new administrative and residential complexes for district commissioners were open. Currently, the active repair phase in the police department “Savinovo” is coming to an end. Tasks to ensure the safety of citizens and public order, reduce the number of crimes, including those committed in public places, are among the strategic initiatives of V. Putin, the President of the Russian Federation, and are implemented within the framework of the national security strategy.
