Almost 4,000 beds have been deployed in Tatarstan for COVID-19patients, 82.8% of them are taken.
The incidence of SARS, including a new coronavirus infection, continues to increase in Tatarstan. As a result, the burden on medical facilities and the ambulance service has significantly increased. Every day, hospitals receive over 18 thousand calls, more than 4 thousand calls to the unified medical service, more than 3 thousand calls to the ambulance service. The epidemiological situation is kept under control by the Emergency Operations Center of Tatarstan.
To organize effective work, the number of operators of the unified medical service has been increased (up to 146 people per shift), a staff reserve has been prepared. Students and interns of medical universities and colleges are engaged in the work of the service and the processing of applications in polyclinics. The involvement of employees of the Multifunctional Centers is also being worked out.
The republic is ready to provide assistance to patients with coronavirus infection at 55 medical organizations. The number of patients and taken beds is monitored daily. The Emergency Operation Center reports these data to Tatarstan President.
As of January 31, 3,912 beds were deployed in the republic, 82.8% of them were taken. If necessary, there is a reserve, the Operations Center reports. All medical organizations are provided with the necessary equipment, medicines and protective equipment for medical workers.
Medical organizations that treat COVID-19 patients are fully staffed by specialists due to the redistribution of workers from other medical organizations of the republic that are not involved in the treatment of coronavirus. In addition, an outpatient network has been prepared. Despite the fact that the incidence among health workers is also high, timely replacement of employees is provided in polyclinics.
Medical care for COVID-19 patients is currently provided by 15,474 medical workers in the republic, of which 7,867 specialists are involved in hospitals and 875 drivers in the ambulance service. 4,250 medical volunteers were involved in the work, among them students of universities and medical colleges. They help nurses and doctors in examination rooms, intensive care units, reception and diagnostic departments and red zones, as well as elderly residents who are on outpatient treatment, deliver medicines, work at vaccination rooms in polyclinics.
For reference, 777 new COVID-19 cases were registered in Tatarstan during the day. As of today, 49,642 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Tatarstan.
