Children under 16 can take part in the competitions in Kazan in early October.
(KZN.RU, September 18). The registration of participants of the R. Nezhemetdinov Memorial on Russian Checkers will be held from September 23 to 30. Children's tournament will be held in Kazan from 4 to 7 of October.
The purpose of this competition is to perpetuate the memory of the outstanding Soviet chess player Rashid Nezhmetdinov and also to improve the sports skills of children, popularize checkers in Tatarstan and strengthen friendly bonds between athletes. The tournament will open on October 4 at the Chess School named after Rashid Nezhmetdinov (Butlerov Street, №7) at 11.30 am. Competitions will be held among boys and girls in several age categories: up to 8, 10, 13 and 16 years according to the Swiss and circular system. The closing of the tournament in all age groups is scheduled for October 7 at 1.30 pm.
Applications for participation in the tournament are accepted at the Rashid Nezhmetdinov Chess School and by e-mail. Required package of documents and contact details are indicated in the tournament regulations posted on the website of the Federation of Drafts of the RT.
