Kazan pavilion at the World Youth Festival in Sochi

<p> The pavilion of the capital of Tatarstan opens at the World Youth Festival in Sochi. The concert program “Treasures of Kazan” will take place today there. The guests of the forum will be able to hear unique music, as well as see the performance of the Kazan dance ensemble. </p> <p> According to the Kazan Department of Culture, People's Artist of Tatarstan Rustem Asayev, Honored Artists of Tatarstan Anastasia Makarova, Amir Akhmadishin, Rustem Nasybullin, Marina Karpova, as well as laureates of international competitions Saida Mukhametzyanova, Gulnaz Gafurova, Zakaria group will take the stage. </p> <p> A book exhibition from the city library system has been organized in the pavilion of Kazan, where Tatar literature, historical books about the capital of Tatarstan, as well as children's works are presented. The exhibition is particularly popular with foreign guests who are interested in the heroes of the fairy tales of Shurale and Su Anasy. </p> <p> The Kazan Food Department has organized an exhibition of national cuisine– guests of the forum can try chak-chak, baursak and many other delicacies. An embroidered map of the republic of Tatarstan is also presented there. </p> <p> The Kazan Committee for Tourism Development presented a photo exhibition with national costumes and a merch in the pavilion. The committee will also hold master classes. For example, guests of the forum can make a women's national head cover– a kalfak, and also attend a master class on customization. </p> <p> The World Youth Festival takes place in Sochi on 1-7 March 2024. The largest international event will bring together 20,000 participants from all over the world in the federal territory of Sirius – young leaders in education, science, international cooperation, culture, volunteerism and charity, sports, business, and media. </p>
