Sabantuy at the Kazan Hippodrome celebrated with an equestrian holiday

Viewers saw 13 races of trotters, riding horses, and ponies.

(KZN.RU, June 23, Alina Berezhnaya). The equestrian holiday took place at the Kazan Hippodrome on Sabantuy today. 13 races of ponies, trotters and horses of riding breeds took place there. Aleksey Pesoshin, the prime minister of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the Tatarstan’s capital, Marat Akhmetov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Agriculture and Food of the RT, Vladimir Leonov, the head of the Ministry of Sports of the RT, and others attended the competition in the international equestrian complex “Kazan”.

The guests visited the exhibition of agricultural products that presented goods from various regions of Tatarstan. A fair of souvenirs, foot-courts with national food, a concert program and a photo-zone with a pony and much more were also presented at the Hippodrome. Also, a lottery was played among the visitors; the main prize was a ticket to Turkey.

The race day program included 4 runs and 9 races of trotters, riding horses, and ponies. The best racers and jockeys from all over Tatarstan and other regions of Russia came to compete for the prize fund of the tournament in the amount of 2 million 800 thousand rubles.

One of the most spectacular races was the race for the Golden Argamak prize, where 13 thoroughbred horses of the Akhal-Teke breed competed in speed and endurance. The stallion Triumph-Geli from the Moscow region won the race.

A tough fight took place in a 1600 meter race for the “Sabantuy-2019” prize. Stallion Vasilevs took victory from stallion Irbis. Both horses represent the equestrian club “Dynamo” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the RT.

By the results of the 2000 m race, the stallion of the thoroughbred riding breed Pafos won the Kazan Kremlin Cup.

In the race of 1800 meters for the prize of memory Z. Khabibullin, the first to finish was Zakraina Luke, a mare from Tatarstan. The mare Soti Uno TN was the fastest in the race at a distance of 2000 meters for the prize “The Beauty of Tatarstan”.

The stallion Slavutich won among the horses of thoroughbred Arabian breed in a race at a distance of 1200 meters for the prize “Arab star”. The award remained in Tatarstan, as the horse belongs to the equestrian club “Dynamo” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RT.

The stallion Stirling Dynamo that also belongs to the equestrian club “Dynamo” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the RT, was the first to finish in the race to a distance of 1600 meters for the prize of the Federation of Horse-Breeding and Equestrian Sports of the RT.

The mare Taydi Born from Tatarstan won in the race for the distance of 1200 meters to the PAO “TATNEFT” Cup.

Very young riders also took part in the competition. the “Young Hope” prize was won by Jakonda in the pony race at a distance of 400 meters.

In the race at a distance of 1800 meters for the prize of the Kazan City Hall, the stallion from America Gladiator Maximus was the fastest.

In the race at a distance of 2400 meters, the stallion Dynamite from Tatarstan was the first to finish at the prize of AO “Tatspirtprom”. The Golden Mile prize went to the stallion Live Art from the Orenburg Oblast.

Londark horse from Tatarstan won in the 1800-meter race for the prize of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the RT. As jockey Murzabek Kapushev told, the victory in horse racing was not easy. “I had a good horse with every chance of winning”, said M. Kapushev. “The rivals were all decent and strong. What does it take to win? To love an animal”.
