Races for the prize “Sabantuy-2018” were held at the Kazan hippodrome

The 4-year-old gray mare Arabian Queen was the first in a race for 1600 m.

(KZN.RU, June 23). Races for the prize “Sabantuy-2018” were held today at the site of the international equestrian center “Kazan”.

Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of the RT, Asgat Safarov, the head of the Office of the President of the RT, Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan, Leila Fazleeva, the deputy prime minister of the RT, Marat Akhmetov, the deputy prime minister of the RT and the minister of Agriculture and Food of the RT, Vladimir Leonov, the head of the Ministry of Sport, and other officials came to watch the races on Kazan hippodrome.

The 4-year-old gray mare of a purebred Arabian breed named Arabian Queen was the first in the race for 1600 m for the prize “Sabantuy-2018”. The award remained in Tatarstan, as the horse belongs to the equestrian club “Dynamo” of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RT.

Eight horses of Arab purebred breed at the age of 3 years and older competed for the prize “Sabantuy-2018”.

The organizers of the competitions noted that the best horses and jockeys from all over Tatarstan and other regions of Russia came to compete for prizes. More than 100 horses participated in the competition. In total, the amount of the prize was 2.6 million rubles.

The holiday of equestrian sport lasted more than four hours.
