Bottles and other rubbish from plastic will be sent for sorting and subsequent processing.
(KZN.RU, May 4). On May 5, a city-wide subbotnik will be held in Kazan, where a separate plastic collection will be organized for the first time. Sacks with plastic containers will be sent for sorting and subsequent processing. Removal of collected plastic will be carried out separately.
Subbotniks will be held at various sites: in forest park areas, in yards of houses and in public gardens. The citizens will traditionally clean up garbage, restore architectural forms, restore benches and sandboxes. The main focus will be on cleaning coastal water protection zones, urban forests and parks. It was noted in the Committee on Housing and Communal Services that during the subbotniks, a huge amount of various garbage is collected, which is exported for later burial in landfills. At the same time, a large amount of garbage, suitable for further processing, can be put into circulation instead of being exported to landfills. Therefore, a separate collection of garbage will be introduced in all parks and squares of the city, it is planned to be sent for processing.
By the same principle, municipal organizations will clean up the city. In particular, plastic will be sorted into the territory of Yudino and on Podluzhnaya Street. “Today, the environmental problem is very relevant for any city. The idea of collecting plastic separately from the rest of the garbage has a long history. We have been working in this direction for a long time. After the snow melts, many plastic bottles remain in the forest and park areas, which cause enormous damage to the environment. We decided to collect them and send them for processing”, said Almir Kurbanov, the deputy chairman of the Housing and Communal Services Committee, and added that this practice will be tested in the capital of Tatarstan for the first time.
All citizens can support this action when cleaning houses and yards. A. Kurbanov reminded that special urns for separate collection of plastic are installed in Kazan yards. For today, their number exceeds 2 thousand.
