A commemorative plaque in memory of Stanislav Govorukhin was installed at Kazan Federal University

<p> Today, a commemorative plaque in memory of Stanislav Govorukhin was unveiled on the front of the Institute of Geology, Oil and Gas Technologies of Kazan Federal University. The event was dedicated to the 87th anniversary of the Soviet and Russian film director, a graduate of Kazan State University. </p> <p> The plaque was installed by the decision of the Academic Council of KFU. Stanislav Govorukhin studied at the Geological Faculty at 4/5 Kremlevskaya Street in 1953-1958. After successful graduation, he worked for a year as a geologist at the Middle Volga Geological Department. In 1961, Govorukhin left for Moscow, where he entered VGIK (the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography), from which he graduated in 1966. </p> <p> “This man had two passions: the first -travelling and discovering new and unknown, the second -- to convey what he explored and learned. In his creative life, it looped around: the first film was about those who are striving for, about those who reach heights, about those who discover something new, know how to make friends, and the last film is about journalists, about those who transmit information to others,”- said the dean of the Higher School of Media Communications Leonid Tolchinsky. </p> <p> The event was attended by Deputy of the State Duma Oleg Morozov, Chairman of the Committee of the Tatarstan State Council on Education, Culture, Science and National Issues Ayrat Zaripov, Head of the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee Azat Abzalov, President of KFU Riyaz Minzaripov, sculptor and painter Rustam Gabbasov and others. </p>
