This week literary yards will be held in Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan

Events will be dedicated to Russian cinema, theater, and the WorldSkills.

(KZN.RU, August 12). Literary and musical festivals “Literary Yards” continue in Kazan. This week they will be held on August 13, 14, and 15 in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of the city.

On August 13, a literary yard “From book pages to the big screen” dedicated to Russian cinema will be held in the yard of house №74 on Yamashev Prospect of the Novo-Savinovsky district. At the exhibition, you can get acquainted with the history of cinema and the legendary studios “Lenfilm” and “Mosfilm”. Aleksey Barykin, the director, who for the first time in the history of Tatarstan cinema made a movie, which was released in the All-Russian distribution “Vodyanaya”, will take part in the event. He will reveal the secrets of a high-quality adaptation of literature and read excerpts from the most popular novels.

On August 14, the event “Theater begins with a book” will be held on the boulevard on Fucik Street in the Sovetsky district. A photo exhibition on the history of theaters, as well as the exposition “Literature in the theater” will open there.

A professional Literary Yard dedicated to the WorldSkills Championship will be held on Square on Sovetskaya Street, №18, in Derbyshki. Everyone will be able to take the historical tour “Forgotten Professions”, as well as visit a book exhibition dedicated to professional skills and working professions.

Soloists of the Kazan City Philharmonia Gulshat Imamieva, Aidar Gabdinov, Rustem Asaev, Elvira Khairullina, Nikolay Konovalov, and Alsu Valiullina will please guests with their performances at all sites.

Holidays will be held on August 13, 14 and 15 from 5 pm to 7 pm, reports the Department of Culture.

This year, literary yards are held in 9 yards of the Kazan districts. The main idea of the holiday is to popularize classical and modern poetry, familiarize the population with reading and get acquainted with new editions and the work of Tatarstan writers.
