Mobile graffiti will be created in Kazan by participants of the festival Combonation

The final of the international festival on breakdance and street art will be held at several city venues.

(KZN.RU, April 10). From 27 to 29 of April, Kazan will host the final meetings of the 10th international breakdancing festival and street-art Combonation. The best athletes, dancers, and artists will perform at several venues of the city not only as contestants but also teachers. They will hold a series of master classes for Kazan citizens.

Combonation is one of the most anticipated events among fans of street art. During the year, qualifying stages are held in different countries of the world, after which the best of the best gather in Kazan. This year the selection took place in Belgium, Germany, France, and Kazakhstan. Russian athletes and artists will compete for the right to reach the final during the festival in Kazan. The stage will be held on April 28 at Taktash Street, №24. In total, 80 people will compete in the final of the competition. The jury will determine 11 winners in 7 nominations.

“Last year, there were 600 participants. Each time their number increases by about 50 people. But this year, in honor of the anniversary, it seems that more than 650 people will come”, said Alexander Shatalov, the president of the breakdance federation in the RT. Members of the jury will come to Kazan along with athletes and artists, 21 winners of the tournament last year. They will hold master classes on two stages between the refereeing. On April 27, break dancers and graffittists will perform at the Alafuzov factory (Gladilov Street, №55a), and experts of the trick break dance will organize a lesson in the soft arena of the sports complex “Aryslan” (Vosstaniya Street, №18a).

Alexander Shatalov also said that last year, the participants of the Combonation decorated with the graffiti the hall in the youth center “Ak Bars” within the framework of the contest program. “We were tied to one place, and all the graffiti performed on the theme of sports and Kazan will remain there. This is the heritage of the festival. This year we decided to paint on the theme of “break-dance Combonation-10 Kazan”, and therefore we had to make portable canvases. We will create them at the Alafuzov factory on April 27. They will draw on large canvases the size of 2 by 4 meters”, he said.

On April 28, the result of the work of the artists will be seen at the qualifying competitions and the next day – at the cultural and entertainment complex “Pyramid” at the final show and the awarding ceremony. After the competition, the canvases will be distributed to the participants.
