The summer equator: ice cream festival, flying kites, and a vertical walk in Kazan

(KZN.RU, July 12). Summer is approaching the equator. And the number of festivals and open-air events in Kazan is increasing. This weekend we advise citizens and guests of the Tatarstan capital to visit the useful festival “Life Fest Bio”, the kite festival and a big fish picnic on the Kremlin embankment, try unusual ice cream in Gorky Park, spent the day for yourself in the Gorkinsky-Ometievsky forest, and see the vertical dance on the facade of the House of Tatar Cuisine.
“KultTorg”

This coming Saturday, the event “KultTorg” will take place in the park “Krylya Sovetov”, aimed at spreading the culture of responsible consumption. Markets, lecture halls will be organized on the site; you can pass things for recycling.
Residents of the city are offered to give a new life to their old or vintage items at the market, to recycle plastic and waste paper at the collection point for recycling, to take part in master classes, quizzes, play board games, and listen to live music. The program of the festival includes lectures on a healthy and responsible lifestyle, master classes and practices, group exercises and yoga classes, presentations of body care products, music and show programs, a themed market, and a healthy food court. There will be mobile collection points for recycling, and a charity collection of waste paper “The Sea of Paper” will be organized.

The V city kite festival “Letat Legko!” (Rus. “Easy fly”) will be held on the Kremlin embankment. Citizens and tourists will be able to participate in amateur competitions, master classes, and get in a positive mood.
Thus, more than 20 free sites will work on the embankment where you can join master classes in kite-making, homemade kite amateur championships, a game store, and also receive a gift from the festival organizers.
The festival will be held from 12 pm to 6 pm; the admission is free.
Vertical dance “A Walk in Kazan”

Residents and guests of the capital of the RT will see an unusual production “A Walk in Kazan”. Gymnasts of the Moscow Street Theater will perform a vertical dance on the facade of the House of Tatar Cuisine.
The performance will be accompanied by original musical compositions, soap bubbles, confetti, as well as the use of smoke machines. The main sights and views of Kazan will be projected on the wall of the building.
Viewers will listen to a set from DJ BubbleGum, take part in the competition and win a special prize from partners of the event.
The film screenings in the Staro-Tatarskaya Sloboda settlement

“Emptiness” is one of the few contemporary Russian films, inspired by the realities of the Russian-Chechen conflict of the 90s. On the eve of the international day of meditation, experts from the capital of Tatarstan, as well as from Moscow and Vladimir, will demonstrate the best practices in the development of mindfulness and body intelligence for daily use.
The program of self-care day includes open lectures, meditative techniques, stress management practices, experiments on the development of body intelligence, creative practices, as well as a food court and socializing with like-minded people.

The championship of the Volga region on the shashka “Kazarla” will be held on the site of the National Museum of the RT.
Competitions on the traditional handling of Cossack bladed weapons will be held in several stages of different levels of complexity for participants of different age categories. For example, competitors will take such exercises as “Forward cutting of the target”, “Cutting the vine between the marks”, “Cutting the vine under the cap”, “Cutting the rope”, “Cutting a hanging target”, “Pricking of a hanging target”, and others.
Also, the citizens could take part in an interactive lecture “The Ballad of the Cossacks”. The craft shops will work in the yard of the museum during the day, where master classes will be held. For visitors in the museum building could attend a fair of crafts, an interactive lecture with the stock display “Cold Shine of a Blade”, a concert of the Cossack ensembles of the RT “My Fatherland, my Russia”, the quest game “Secrets of the Old Cossack”, and also thematic tours. The interactive playground “Tatarstan is Our Common Home” will also operate on the territory of the museum. The creative workshop “City of Masters” will open.

A big fish picnic will be organized on the Kremlin embankment in Kazan. The Day of the Fisherman is celebrated in Russia on July 14. In honor of the holiday, chefs of the city restaurants in the open kitchen mode will prepare fish dishes.

Gorky Park will host the annual ice cream festival. More than 25 manufacturers from Moscow, Ulyanovsk, Yoshkar-Ola, Kazan, and other cities of the country will present the summer dessert.
Guests of the festival will taste black, fruit, cheese, Tatar with baursak, Talkysh Kaleve, and even fried ice cream. Desserts without sugar, gluten and milk, as well as fitness products, will be presented there.
Musical performances will create a festive atmosphere; everyone will be able to take part in creative and culinary master classes. Also games and contests will be organized for visitors.
