Puppet theaters from Russia and other countries will present 18 performances at the festival "Shombay-fest" in Kazan

<p> The festival of puppet theaters “Shombay-fest” will be held in the puppet theater “Ekiyat”. Theaters from different cities of Russia and other countries will present their best performances to the citizens. </p> <p> Creative teams from France, Italy and Belarus will come to Kazan. Also, theaters from Bashkortostan, Khakassia, Karelia and such Russian cities as Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Belgorod, Kursk, Orenburg and others will present their performances. </p> <p> Overall, the program includes 18 performances, most of them are addressed to an adult audience. Citizens will be able to see such shows as “The Caucasian chalk circle” of the Khakassian national puppet theater “A fairy tale”, “Iro” puppet theatre of the Republic of Karelia; “Escape” Krasnoyarsk puppet theatre. “Kill Carol” performance will show the Penza regional theatre “Puppet’s house”. Orenburg municipal puppet theater “Piero” will present a performance based on the stories of Mikhail Zoshchenko “Dear citizens”. </p> <p> Seven performances will be shown to the kids: “Good night, mouse” (France), “Dance on the strings” (Italy) and others. </p> <p> In addition, the participants of the festival will hold educational events - master classes in acting. </p> <p> The jury will define the winners in nominations “Best performance”, “Best Director”, “Best acting”, “Best supporting actor”, “Best artist”, “Best musical score”, “Innovation of the festival”. </p> <p> Within the framework of the festival, will work a children's jury consisting of students of Kazan schools interested in studying the art of puppet theater. </p> <p> The creative marathon will open on October 23 with a puppet parade at Peterburgskaya street. The parade will start at 9.30 from the metro station “Sukonnaya Sloboda”, and the celebration will continue on the area in front of the puppet theater with a raising of the festival’s flag. </p> <p> The “Shombay-fest 2019” will end on October 28 with a big celebration. </p>
