Concert on floating stage, coffee festival, party and lecture: on May 4 summer program starts in Kazan parks

The events for new summer season were selected with the citizens' wishes.

(KZN.RU, April 1, Ksenia Shvetsova). On May 4 summer entertainment program for citizens and guests starts in Kazan parks. It will last until September 15. In the program there are festivals, concerts, lectures, master classes, sports activities, and many other events selected with the citizens' wishes. Marat Zakirov, the head of the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan, told about it today at the Business Monday.

In late February, the online-interviewing started on the website park.tatar and in the social networks in which the Kazan citizens said what activities they want to see in the social spaces. According to results, they prefer the concerts of modern music, fairs and foodmarkets, educational courses and theatrical perfomances. М.Zakirov noted that the new summer program was based on these wishes. Also he informed of the many and detailed events awaiting the citizens.

So, in early May the unique project will start in Kazan - the social garden will begin its work in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest. For the first time it was realised last year. This season it is planned to expand the garden area from 65 to 105 square metres. lectures of gardening and various master-classes for grown-ups and children, swap-markets will be organised in the ecocentre «House» and on the territory of the social garden, as well as excursion along the paths of the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest.

Separate direction of summer program is musical and dancing projects. The concert of instrumental music and «The evening of the opera» of the fund Sforzando are scheduled in the park «Black lake». The big concert of modern Tatar music will be held in the parkway «White flowers», and for youth the over-night party will be held in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest.

«As for dancing projects, we have a plan to conduct the festival of modern choreography «The area of Freedom», the festival of street cultures «Pozitiv of streets» and to hold permanently open lessons and master-classes on different kinds of dances», - told М.Zakirov.

An intense programme of interesting events is scheduled on the embankment of Kaban Lake, where a floating stage will open this summer. The concert of modern Tatar music will be held there. Besides different sports activities, weekly film screenings and concerts will wait for the citizens on the embankment.

The speaker reminded that one of oldest parks of Kazan - «Wings of the Soviets» - would celebrate the 80-anniversary this year. Holiday program of this reason will last a few days. Guests are waited for excursion and lecture about the history of the park and district, dancing evenings, film screenings and sports competitions, and the holiday will end by the big celebration concert.

A special place in the summer program is reserved for gastronomic projects. For example, in July for the second time the big ice-cream festival will be held in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure which is planned to take place every year. Last year it got together almost 15 thousand visitors for 2 days. In July the coffee festival will be held on the embankment of Kaban Lake, and in May the barbecue festival will be organised for the amateurs of picnics in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest.

And then as spring comes, the open sports activities of social and sport movement «Green fitness» will be resumed in Kazan parks. Everyone will be able to visit free activities on such popular directions, as fitness, zumba, yoga, chi kung.

For older people different creative and sports events will be held within the frames of the project «Zhiznelub» for the second consecutive year. Besides as М. Zakirov told, it was planned to launch an educational project, and each month people will study different topics: foreign languages, history, the photography basis. At the end of each educational course they are waited for by certification and rewarding by the diplomas.

For the amateurs of animals the festival «Give me a paw» is scheduled in the park «Wings of the Soviets» where the citizens will be able to take animals home with you. Also agiling ompetitions, dog handler performances, lectures from veterinaries and the charitable fundraising action will take place in the park.

The open educational school with lectures of different topics will begin work in the park «Black lake»: economy, psychology and digital. The book festival and other events will be held here.

The specific program in parks is scheduled for the duration of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019. From August 22 to August 27 the thematic events will take place in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure, in the Gorkinsko-Ometievsky forest, and on the embankment of Kaban Lake: the fair Skills Bazaar with mini-shops, children's program with master-classes and open lessons.

«The main task is preservation of city parks in proper condition, - noted Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of Kazan. - But as for events, it is important very much as well. The creation of a rest culture in our parks, squares, social spaces is a big work».

For start of the summer season the Directorate of Parks and Squares of Kazan will issue a brochure with the poster of the main events. They can be available in cafes, hotels, on information stands of tourist-information centre, in the airport, and in other popular places, as well as on the websites kzn.ru and park.tatar.
