Every 10 years the weather in Tatarstan warms an average of 0.3 degrees

<p> (KZN.RU, March 22, Ksenia Shvetsova). Every year, there is an increase in average air temperature in Tatarstan as in the whole world. Every 10 years it gets warmer on average by 0.3 degrees. Feliks Gogol, the Head of the Hydrometeorological Center of the FGBU“UGMS of the RT”, told about climate change in the republic at the press conference in the IA “Tatar-inform”. </p> <p> The main climatic parameters in the world are air temperature and precipitation. Considering these parameters, experts note that air temperature continues to rise in Tatarstan. “The growth rate from 1951 to the current year is 0.32 degrees. If we take a shorter period from the mid-70s, then more intensive warming began, it is almost half a degree warming every 10 years”, said F. Gogol. </p> <p> “At the same time, there is no clearly defined statistically significant trend in the amount of precipitation”, said the speaker. “In recent years, there has been an excess of precipitation mainly, but 2018 has become a deficit one”. At the same time, the greatest deficit of precipitation was observed in June, August, September, and November. More than the monthly norm of precipitation fell only in April: 61 mm of precipitation, which is 192% of the April norm. </p> <p> In general, 2018 was warm, the average annual temperature in the republic exceeded the norm by 0.7 degrees and amounted to 4 degrees exactly. According to the speaker, December 2017, January, July, September and October 2018 were significantly warmer than normal, and last year’s March was the coldest one. </p> <p> Last winter of 2018-2019, precipitation was above the norm, and up to two norms in some regions of the republic. “The conditions evolved very well for the agro-industrial complex. The death of winter crops will not exceed 5-7% by spring”, said F. Gogol. </p>
