Kazan citizens choose double-deck trains for trips to Moscow

More than 385 thousand passengers used this type of train on the route Moscow – Kazan – Moscow in 2018.

(KZN.RU, January 23). More than 385 thousand passengers used double-deck trains on the route Moscow – Kazan – Moscow in 2018. Compared with 2017, passenger transportation by double-deck trains from Kazan to the capital of Russia and back increased by 5.3%, reports the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Road Facilities of the RT.

A double-deck train makes it possible to carry almost 2 times more passengers than common rolling stock in one run. Each carriage is adapted for people with disabilities. The special compartments of a larger area have lifting devices and other necessary equipment for a comfortable trip; all the necessary information is duplicated in Braille.

The double-deck trains between the capital of the RT and Moscow began to run in the summer of 2015.
