The tournament “Romanian Master of Mathematics” gathered young mathematicians from 22 countries of the world.
(KZN.RU, March 6). Danil Sibgatullin, a student of the school №131, won the bronze medal of the annual International Mathematics Olympiad “Romanian Master of Mathematics”. The intellectual tournament was held in Romania.
Young mathematicians from 22 countries of the world participated in the Olympiad along with the Kazan student, who took third place. They solved individual tasks for two days. In each of the rounds, it was necessary to solve three tasks in 4.5 hours requiring a creative approach. The results of the competition are summarized in the individual and team standings.
The “Romanian Master of Mathematics” has been held annually in Bucharest since 2008. The tournament is one of the stages of selection for the national team for the International Mathematical Olympiad for Russian schoolchildren. According to the results of the competition held in Romania, Danil Sibgatullin will continue to fight for the opportunity to represent Russia in the national team. He is now one of 15 candidates for the International Mathematical Olympiad team, which will include only six people. This year, it will be held in the UK. In 2020, St. Petersburg will host the Olympiad.
Danil Sibgatullin, besides studying in the school with an in-depth mathematical study, attends a Kazan specialized group in the City House of Children's Art named after A. Alish. Teachers Alyona Volodina and Vadim Shurygin prepared him for the republican and Russian math tournaments, reports the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the RT.
