About 400 athletes took part in the competition
Kazan athlete, grandmaster of Russia Alexander Dinerstein won the XI Weiqi Cup of the Chinese Ambassador. The competitions were held in Moscow on December 16 -17 with participation of about 400 athletes from Krasnoyarsk, Khabarovsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and other cities.
Two players from Kazan met in the final. Alexander Dinerstein's opponent was Ilya Shikshin, the winner of the previous tournament. The game went on for over an hour, and in the second half of the game the opponent gave up.
This is the third victory of Alexander Dinerstein at the Chinese Ambassador's Cup. The seven-time European champion and four-time Russian champion has a third professional dan. He is one of two players in the country with such a status, the Press Office of the Tatarstan Ministry of Sports reports.

The Weiqi (Go) Chinese Ambassador's Cup has been played since 1997. The organizers of the competition are the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Russia, the Russian Federation of Go and the Moscow Federation of Go.
