The top 10 popular tourist cities in Russia for traveling with children on the Day of Defender of the Fatherland include Moscow, Sochi, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Kostroma, Kolomna (Moscow region), Veliky Novgorod, Olonets (Karelia), Veliky Ustyug (Vologda Region).

According to the online booking site Tvil.ru, tourists book accommodation in Kazan on average for 2.7 thousand rubles per day (in Sochi – 4 thousand rubles per day, in Petersburg – 3 thousand per day).
