Kazan is firmly within the top 5 tourist destinations in Russia

Vice-President of the Russian Union of Tourism Industry Yuri Barzykin informed why tourists choose the capital of the republic of Tatarstan

Kazan is firmly within the top 5 destinations for travel in Russia. The capital of Tatarstan is chosen both for weekend tours and for long trips.

“No doubt, Kazan has every chance to enter the top travel destinations in August. In August 2022, the city entered the top five as well. Tatarstan attracts tourists in general, but Kazan is a magnet. St. Petersburg, Moscow, the North Caucasus, the Black Sea coast enter the top list,” – Yuri Barzykin informed.

According to Yuri Barzykin, Kazan is in demand in all tourism industries. There are several reasons for this: “Good logistics – the city is located not far from Moscow, there is cultural and educational potential, Kazan also hosts major sports events. But, of course, among the reasons – the improvement of the city, good infrastructure, as well as good promotion on the market.”
