Kazan became one of the leaders of the 2nd National Smart City Award

<p> Kazan won in the nomination “Urban Environment” of the 2^nd National Smart City Award for contribution to the development of digitalization of urban economy. The jury members awarded the capital of Tatarstan for the project of implementing an information system for automatic control of the urban economy, presented by the Center for Urban Transformation of the Kazan Executive Committee. </p> <p> Sevastopol took the second place in the nomination. The Volgograd region took the third place. Moscow and the Nizhny Novgorod Region were also among the finalists. </p> <p> In addition, Tatarstan took the first place in the nomination “Inspiration” for its contribution to the involvement and motivation of teenagers and young people to find their own way, the third place in the nomination “Higher School” and also became a finalist in the nominations “Transport” and “Municipal management”. </p> <p> This year, the organizing committee of the award reviewed more than 300 projects from 56 regions of the country in 37 nominations, according to the website of the Ministry of Construction of Russia. The largest number of applications were received in the nominations Municipal Management, Urban Environment, Geo-information technologies, Transport, Healthcare, and Feedback. </p> <p> One of the criteria for evaluating projects was the introduction of domestic digital solutions in cities and the achievement of technological sovereignty in the digital transformation of urban economy. </p>
