The capital of the republic has become the only Russian city that participates in the project along with the Irkutsk region, Krasnodar and Perm territories
The capital of Tatarstan has become the only city in Russia, which was included in the pilot group for the creation of the National Spatial Data System. In addition to Kazan, the Irkutsk region, Krasnodar and Perm Territories participate in the project. At the same time, the city was the first in the country to automatically transfer data from the municipal geographic information system to the national database. This was announced at a staff meeting at the Executive Committee.
As Mayor Ilsur Metshin noted, the participation of Kazan in the project became possible due to the introduction of advanced digital developments in the municipal public utilities. “In the ranking of smart cities, we are second only to Moscow and St. Petersburg. For reference: the capital of Russia spent 112 billion rubles, St. Petersburg – 20 billion rubles, and Kazan – 350 million rubles. IQ level of St. Petersburg and the capital of Tatarstan, according to experts, is the same. This indicates the effectiveness of the team's work,” - the Mayor drew attention.
According to Deputy head of the Executive Committee Radik Shafigullin, in 2023 a working group was created to implement projects on digitalization of the municipal economy, an analysis of criteria for achieving digital maturity of the city was carried out, tasks for the coming years were defined.
Presently, the main source of data about Kazan is the municipal geo-information system. As a result of improvements last year, the amount of information contained on the platform increased by a third – from 11.7 to 15.6 million, and the number of users increased to 1,045 people. The scope of work has also been expanded, 354 training courses have been conducted to fully utilize the functionality of the system.
“We have started to create a mobile version of the geo-information system in those areas where a large amount of work is carried out. This will significantly increase the speed and efficiency of activities. At the same time, we are creating a mobile version of the online document management system – now the new functionality is being tested and finalized, the work is planned to be completed in May,”- Radik Shafigullin announced.
Currently, digitalization of data is underway, which makes it possible to make them available in real time and fully automate work with data. Last year, data from over 1,400 social facilities were collected and visualized. The next task is to make this information available to residents on an information resource.
Radik Shafigullin added that in 2023, the archive of the engineering department of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, as well as 220 territories updated under the Our Yard republican program, was completely digitized. This year, it is planned to create digital copies of another 457 sites.
