Kazan and Harbin have agreed to develop friendly relations

<p> A meeting between the Vice Mayor of Kazan Evgenia Lodvigova and the first deputy head of the government of Harbin, Jiang Chuanhai took place during the international forum “ROSTKI: Russia - China mutually beneficial cooperation”. The parties agreed to develop friendly ties to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of the Russian Federation and China. </p> <p> “China and Russia are two countries that have an important influence in the world, they bear a special responsibility for maintaining peace and promote joint development,”- Evgenia Lodvigova said at the meeting. </p> <p> Kazan and Harbin will jointly develop cooperation in humanitarian, trade, economic and other areas. It is also planned to exchange experience in education, culture, tourism, trade, as well as development and popularization of winter sports. </p> <p> Kazan and Harbin will jointly promote projects, as well as coordinate interaction between governmental offices, organizations and enterprises of the two cities. It is planned to implement joint programs at the Harbin Winter Sports Demonstration Zone of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries. There will also be visits of delegations to the Harbin Fair, the Ice and Snow Festival, the United Cities Forum (UCF-Kazan), a round table of mayors during the KAZAN DIGITAL WEEK international forum. </p> <p> For reference, that the International Forum “ROSTKI: Russia - China mutually beneficial cooperation” takes place on September 7 and 8. This is a new annual platform for the development of economic cooperation between Russian regions and Chinese provinces. </p>
