More than 2 thousand athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, Spain and Cyprus took part in the half marathon “Zabeg.RF” in Kazan. The sports festival was held in the URAM extreme park.
Vadim Mironov (32:58) and Olga Sedova (40:28) won the 10 km race. Vladimir Nadezhdin (1:13:28) and Tatyana Grishina (1:37:48) ran 21.1 km faster than the others.
Athletes who underwent heart, kidney or liver transplants ran the distance of 1 and 5 km, among others. By their example, they showed that even after serious illnesses it is possible to lead a healthy lifestyle, the Tatarstan Ministry of Sports reports.
