A founder of the Kazan inclusive studio E-motion was named a volunteer of the year in Russia.
The founder of the Kazan project “Creative inclusive studio E-motion” Inessa Klyukina was named a volunteer of the year in Russia. The award of the all-Russian competition “Volunteer of Russia-2019” was presented to the winner by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin. The award ceremony took place the day before in Sochi on the final day of the International volunteer forum, which was held on December 2-5.
Inessa was highly appreciated by the jury for the opening of the creative studio E-motion in Kazan in 2016. The uniqueness of the project is that it engages people with disabilities and without in creativity. Teachers, musicians, artists, designers, decorators, make-up artists and stylists are involved in the creation of performances voluntarily. For four years, 40 performances of the studio in 12 cities of Russia were attended by more than 6 thousand spectators.
The idea of creating a studio arose not without a reason. Inessa suffered an injury of the spinal cord in childhood and could not walk. By the age of 25, after several surgeries, she managed to get back on her feet. As Inessa says, she always wanted to be creative - she dreamed of becoming an actress or a singer, but without effort it is impossible to achieve a dream. “I believed in my will, and that helped me get back on my feet. If I succeeded, it means that others will succeed, so I decided to create a studio, I wanted to show people equality of opportunity, to prove that physical limitations cannot shatter dreams", - I.Klyukina said.
About her victory in the competition, she shyly says: “This is the victory of the studio, I cannot live without it”.
Inessa plans to further develop the inclusive studio, she wants to bring it to the international level and to show performances abroad.
This year more than 28 thousand projects were assigned to the contest “Volunteer of Russia”, more than 560 thousand people are involved in the development of these projects. Nominations include all areas of volunteer activity: the founders of the best social initiatives will receive administrative, information and financial support.
