India intends to send a large number of athletes to the BRICS Games in Kazan

India intends to send a big delegation of athletes to the BRICS Games to be held in Kazan in June, 2024. It was reported by the Director of the BRICS Institute in New Delhi Binod Singh.

“We have just recently performed well at the Asian Games in 2023 in Hangzhou. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays a great deal of attention to the sports popularization in India. Russia and India have very friendly relationships, therefore we would like to have twice as many athletes in Russia,” as quoted by TASS.

According to Binod Singh, Indian party is willing to send a lot of athletes to the competition to increase the chances of winning the medal places.

BRICS Games will be held in Kazan on June 12-23, 2024 with 25 sports in the competition program.
