Residents of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan also collected food, construction materials and books for the supported towns – the total weight of the tenth batch of cargo is 85 tons
Today, the tenth humanitarian cargo weighing 85 tons was shipped from the capital of the republic of Tatarstan to Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye. Residents of towns supported by Tatarstan will receive food, construction materials and other goods. In addition, goods for newborns and books are collected. The shipment of a humanitarian convoy of five trucks from the Kazan Kremlin was inspected by the Mayor of the city Ilsur Metshin.
Traditionally, Kazan residents, entrepreneurs, organizations and enterprises joined the collection of goods. For example, the Komos Group company provided roofing materials. The DOSAAF office in the republic of Tatarstan purchased overalls, household goods, cement, welding machine and bitumen mastic for the towns supported by Tatarstan. Kazenergo company purchased 30 tons of products – cereals, sunflower oil and tea. Canned meat, flour, groceries and cereals were also included into the cargo. Another company handed over a UAZ car.
“Another humanitarian cargo was collected by caring Kazan residents and entrepreneurs. Since November, we have collected 1,100 tons for residents of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye. In addition to food, medicines, construction materials – for the first time we are sending a humanitarian cargo with goods for newborns. Life goes on, and in Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye it is difficult to find diapers, diapers, etc. We were asked, and we are happy to provide these goods,”- Ilsur Metshin said.
As many as 1,010 children's pillows, 700 blankets, 300 knitted baby-shoes, 100 changing pads and portable cradles and various baby clothes were collected for residents of cities supported by Tatarstan – more than 4,600 in total. Such great support was provided by the Moscow Charity Fund “Sovershi Dobro”, which was founded in Kazan.
“Kazan residents also bring books along with medicines, food, building materials and clothing. And the residents of Lisichansk and Rubezhnoye accept it with gratitude. So we're doing the right thing.”
The collection of books was held as part of a charity event organized by the Department of Culture of the Executive Committee of Kazan and the Movement of the First. We managed to collect 240 copies – this is fiction and popular science literature, encyclopedias and ABC books for children, cooking and needlework books.
The charity event is still underway. Anyone can come to any library in Kazan and hand over the book. The most popular are Russian classics, children's books and school textbooks. Earlier, more than 400 books have already been sent from Kazan in two shipments.
For reference, the centralized collection of humanitarian aid has been conducted in Kazan since autumn 2022. The first shipment was sent to Lisichansk in November. In June, a convoy of five trucks left the Northern Railway Station. 40 tons of pipes for the restoration of waterways of cities and construction, 40 tons of lumber were shipped to the residents of cities supported by Tatarstan.
A list of collection points of humanitarian aid can be found in a special section on KZN.RU. The main warehouse for the collection of goods is located at the address: Gorkovskoe shosse, 53a.
