<p> Today, the Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin visited the Okeanit swimming studio – previously, the boiler station of the MUE Kazenergo was located in this building. Children under the age of eight have swimming trainings in the pool. The hydro-rehabilitation of children with disabilities is held in the studio. </p> <p> “It is hard to imagine that the boiler station was located here before. It is a fine example of how to develop a social facility out of a boiler station. We got used to the opening of a cafe or a shop, while a swimming pool opens here in a densely populated district, this is an amazing solution!”, - said Ilsur Metshin. </p> <p> The Okeanit swimming studio was established one year ago. Until 1990, in a building with an area of 300 sq.m on Chkalov Street, there was a boiler station of the MUE Kazenergo, then - the office of the Zarechensky energy district of JSC Kazenergo. In 2019, the building was offered for sale and in 2020, an agreement was signed with the Okeanit swimming studio. </p> <p> “We chose this facility because it is ideal for the swimming pools and meets all requirements – it is a separate building with high ceilings, where there is no basement. After passing the examination, we started the renovation”, - said Gulshat Minigulova, director of the studio. </p> <p> In the studio, parents can not worry about the health of their children – a secure ventilation system is installed here, and the quality of water is also under special control – it undergoes special filtration with sand, chlorine and an UV lamp. </p> <p> The studio is divided into two zones – dry, which includes a waiting area, a changing room, a game room and coaching rooms, and wet - with two pools of 5 by 3 meters and 8 by 3 meters, changing rooms and an infrared zone. </p> <p> Ilsur Metshin asked about the classes for children in the pool. “Regular swimming trainings begin at the age of 4, before this age children got acquainted with the water environment - sensory, general development and physical fitness,”- Gulshat Minigulova told the Mayor. Patronage assistance is also organized in the studio – coaches can go home at the request of parents. In addition, children with disabilities have hydro-rehabilitation in the pool and are trained by special coaches. </p> <p> After visiting the studio, I.Metshin got acquainted with the improvement of the yard on 7 Chkalov Street, which is located next to the swimming pool. The area was renovated under the Our Yard program. A sidewalk and pedestrian paths were laid there, play and sports grounds were installed. The territory between the playgrounds and walking areas was divided by green spaces. Cedar trees were planted in the yard, which previously grew in the construction zone of the Gorkovsky Highway relief road. “The residents appealed to us with a request to preserve the trees, we decided to transplant them here in the spring, all the trees have taken root and now delight the eyes of residents of nearby houses”, - said Sergey Mironov, head of the Kirovsky and Moskovsky districts. Also in the yard, at the request of residents, a public vegetable garden has been organized, where it will be possible to plant garden crops. </p> <p> The renovation of the territory was carried out comprehensively, along with the landscaping of the yard, the house was also overhauled – the front was painted, the entrances were renovated, intercoms were replaced and a video surveillance system was installed. </p>
