Kazan saves more than 170 million rubles a year with LED lamps
The use of LED lamps in Kazan allows to save 24.7 million kWh of electricity per year – this is 174 million rubles. Such data was reported by the Director General of Kazenergo JSC Rustam Abdulkhakov at the Business Monday meeting.
49 thousand LED lamps or 44% of the total number of light points in Kazan are installed in the city. Taking into account the annual rising energy rates, the savings will increase in subsequent years.
“Today, the level of automation lighting system control of the city has reached 100%, –said Ilsur Metshin, the Mayor of the city. – We have been going to this rate for a long time, step by step for several years, it was in the strategy of the city. And today, planned full automation allows us not only to respond promptly to a malfunction of the lighting system in the city, but also to save energy.”
“Another point of our strategy is the transition to modern LED lamps, savings today amount to hundreds of millions of rubles of budget money, – the head of the capital of the republic of Tatarstan continued. – As a good owner fixes roof before it starts to rain, so the management of Kazenergo should continue to build its work for the future. And the effect of your work is literally visible to the naked eye. It's getting lighter in the streets, as well as parks and squares.”
